We seek to appoint an Admin Assistant (Accounts Payable) within our Finance & Administration team to provide an effective and efficient service to meet the needs of the business.
The successful applicant must demonstrate the following:
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) with English Language and Mathematics at Grade C or above
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a Finance/Accounting environment with proven experience in an Accounts Payable function
- Proficient in Microsoft Packages, particularly Excel
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise a number of work demands
- Strong numeracy skills and good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work on own initiative
- Motivated
Desirable:
- Level 3 Accounts Technician qualification e.g. ATI or AAT
- Payroll experience
- Experience using an ERP system
Main Duties:
- Logging on and redistributing invoices
- Ensure invoice folders are signed off and process cheque/BACS run as required
- Follow up and deal with queries on invoices from suppliers
- Analyse and code employee expenses, credit card and transport invoices
- Fuel/Mileage calculations and deductions
- Reconcile intercompany accounts
- Reconcile Sterling and Foreign Petty Cash
- Compile and issue Intrastat Arrivals and Despatches, EC Sales List, Irish VAT and UK VAT
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register and Capital Approval process
- Provide financial reports as requested
- Provide backup cover for pension payroll, switchboard and container paperwork if required.
- Carryout administration and finance duties as directed by the F&A Director
