Apply Now – Admin Assistant (Accounts Payable)

We seek to appoint an Admin Assistant (Accounts Payable) within our Finance & Administration team to provide an effective and efficient service to meet the needs of the business.

The successful applicant must demonstrate the following:

  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) with English Language and Mathematics at Grade C or above
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a Finance/Accounting environment with proven experience in an Accounts Payable function
  • Proficient in Microsoft Packages, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise a number of work demands
  • Strong numeracy skills and good communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work on own initiative
  • Motivated


  • Level 3 Accounts Technician qualification e.g. ATI or AAT
  • Payroll experience
  • Experience using an ERP system

Main Duties:

  • Logging on and redistributing invoices
  • Ensure invoice folders are signed off and process cheque/BACS run as required
  • Follow up and deal with queries on invoices from suppliers
  • Analyse and code employee expenses, credit card and transport invoices
  • Fuel/Mileage calculations and deductions
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts
  • Reconcile Sterling and Foreign Petty Cash
  • Compile and issue Intrastat Arrivals and Despatches, EC Sales List, Irish VAT and UK VAT
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Register and Capital Approval process
  • Provide financial reports as requested
  • Provide backup cover for pension payroll, switchboard and container paperwork if required.
  • Carryout administration and finance duties as directed by the F&A Director
