April 2016 Time Lapse Video

3rd mai 2016

Still with a keen eye on the weather maps and more specifically wind speed, work on the new Dyehouse continued in April 2016.

The Boiler was delivered and lifted into position on the 12th April 2016. At 13 tonne the wind speed was critical in craning the boiler into place through the roof of the Boiler House. (The boiler house is the external square section with grey cladding, which as you view the time-lapse video is adjacent to the Dyehouse building on the right hand side). The Steam Accumulator was delivered on the 19th April following a circuitous route to Portadown. Due to its size some European mainland borders were unable to accommodate the Steam Accumulator but it is now set into place in front of the boiler house.

Inside the new Dyehouse, work has been underway with the two metal access staircases to the mezzanine now in place and the plastering of the lift shaft due to complete this week. The ‘first fix’ plumbing & electrical check is in progress and work has started on forming the offices on the mezzanine floor. In May work will continue to complete the external cladding and the installation of the 5 x roller shutter doors. May will also see the Installation of the boiler and the fixing of the rails for the automatic shuttles.

We have continued to capture the progress with time-lapse photography and have prepared a video of the work in April 2016 and a project to date video which you can view on both our Contract & Residential websites and on the social media feeds for Facebook & Twitter.

There are also still images showing on our Contract & Residential websites.
