DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London – Dockland Riverside

Ulster Carpets is delighted to have been involved in the refurbishment of Hilton Docklands in its recent rebrand to DoubleTree Hilton Hotel London – Dockland Riverside. Working closely with ICA, Ulster have produced a complementary array of bespoke designs for the corridors, guestrooms and public areas.

As London’s last dry dock and located close to the historical ‘Port of London’, Dockland Riverside’s design was clearly inspired by London’s trade routes with a strong focus on a navigational theme. Using Ulster’s innovative PSYLO™ technology, our London based designers were able to create delicate layers of colour, texture and pattern to achieve this.

This detailed design intricacy allows the rooms to not only be linked by colour and pattern, but to flow from one space to the next, truly capturing the essence of water. From the reception, where an abstract map projection merges with a nautical compass, the striking watermark effect continues throughout the hotel, intensifying in the wharf link corridors and emulates a tidal surge of water as you emerge into the public areas. Throughout the project hints of green and blue, layers of sandy beiges and occasional pops of vibrant pink bring these designs to life.

Ulster has worked with the Hilton Group both within the UK, Ireland and internationally and is proud to add DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London – Dockland Riverside to its list of completed Hilton projects.
