Minister Hamilton Congratulates Ulster Carpets on new UAE deal

Ulster Carpets has today welcomed Minister for the Economy Simon Hamilton MLA to our Dubai Office. The Minister congratulated Ulster on our latest high profile export deal to the region.

Minister Hamilton said: “This latest deal in Dubai with a luxury five star resort on The Palm, demonstrates just how much the quality of Northern Ireland produce is appreciated here.

“The hotel business in UAE is a growing market, with demand for quality, high-end products. Invest NI has been working with a number of Northern Ireland companies to help them win business with hotels here – from new carpets, to linen and foods. Northern Ireland also had a presence at The Hotel Show in Dubai last month, for the first time, with companies such as Ulster Carpets showcasing their world class offerings.”

Scott Hanna from Ulster Carpets said: “We are delighted to have secured this high profile contract with an international chain to carpet a luxury 5 star resort on The Palm. We have worked with local interior designers and the hotel to develop breath-taking designs which will be revealed when the hotel opens in early 2017.

“This is the latest in a long list of prestigious contracts for Ulster Carpets in the Gulf Region, including the Burj Al Arab Dubai, the Sofitel Dubai Downtown, the Hilton Suites, the Marriott, the Conrad and the Hilton Convention of the Jabal Omar Development in Makkah KSA.”
