The Story
The Intercontinental Marseille Hotel Dieu describes itself as the epitome of luxury and a glimpse of this magnificent hotel soon reveals why. Set in the historic Hotel Dieu which served as Marseille’s main hospital for centuries, the building was transformed into a stunning 5 star hotel boasting lavish modern interiors in 2013.
In 2017 leading French architecture agency Tangram Architectes led on the update of this impressive building’s interior design, appointing Ulster Carpets to provide high quality axminster carpets as a key element of the hotel’s contemporary scheme. The bright bold interiors in the function rooms reflect the many days of sunlight that Marseille enjoys. As our photos show, this theme continues through the highly textured carpet featuring long sunny golden rays winding across the floor.
L’Intercontinental Marseille Hôtel Dieu est un somptueux hôtel de luxe dont nous avons le plaisir de présenter les merveilles. Historiquement, l’Hôtel Dieu fût un grand hôpital, pendant une centaine d’années. En 2013, it a été rénové en un très bel hôtel 5 étoiles modern et luxueux.
En 2017, l’Agence Tangram Architectes poursuit la rénovation du design d’intérieur de cet impressionnant édifice, en faisant appel à Ulster Carpets afin d’y apporter une touche contemporaine avec de luxueuses moquettes Axminster. L’enjeu des designers Ulster fût d’exprimer la luminosité du soleil de Marseille par les moquettes.
