The Story

Located beside the stunning Velvet Strand in County Dublin, Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links enjoys an unrivalled coastal location with breathtaking views. Originally part of the famous Jameson family’s estate, Ulster recently worked with the four star hotel to create bespoke carpets for their main reception areas, Seaview Lounge and meeting rooms.

Inspired largely by the hotel’s coastal surroundings, Ulster’s designers worked closely with CLR Designs in Dublin to create custom designs which match the natural ethos and history of the hotel.

The bright, open feel of the reception area is complimented by the strong, geometric pattern of the carpet which adds a contemporary twist to the otherwise classic look of the building. The relaxing blue and cream tones tie in perfectly with the surroundings, letting the design speak for itself.
