Crossbasket Hotel and Spa

Set within a beautifully restored 15th-century Scottish castle, Crossbasket Castle Hotel, Spa & Restaurant combines historic grandeur with contemporary luxury. As part of the Small Luxury Hotels collection, the destination pairs stately elegance with boutique sensibility, creating an experience that feels both timeless and distinctive.

Working in collaboration with Mosaic Architecture and Design, Glasgow, Ulster Carpets created bespoke Axminster carpet designs for the guestrooms, corridors, reception lobby and bar. Throughout the guestrooms, corridors and reception, the designs take inspiration from the elegance of the Art Deco era, featuring sophisticated patterns and a warm, rich colour palette that complements the castle's beautifully restored interiors.

In contrast, the bar introduces a more vibrant and expressive design, with bolder colours and dynamic patterning that reflect the energy of this social space while remaining sympathetic to the hotel's overall design narrative.

Woven to deliver exceptional durability alongside design excellence, each bespoke carpet enhances the guest experience while supporting the operational demands of a luxury hospitality environment. The result is a collection of interiors that honour Crossbasket Castle's remarkable heritage while bringing a fresh sense of warmth, character and contemporary refinement.
