A €14million refurbishment of Leonardo Hotel Dublin Christchurch and Leonardo Hotel Dublin Parnell Street has brought new character to both properties, with bespoke carpets from Ulster Carpets playing a key role in the interior schemes.
Working closely with Cunningham McLean, Ulster Carpets' design team interpreted the studio's creative vision, developing bespoke carpet designs that use colour, pattern and scale to define spaces, create visual connections and complement each hotel's distinct identity.
Leonardo Hotel Dublin Christchurch
Overlooking Christ Church Cathedral, the hotel combines its historic surroundings with contemporary interiors.
Ulster Carpets developed charcoal and neutral carpet patterns that anchor seating areas and connect the lounge, dining and meeting spaces without interrupting the open-plan layout.
In the guestrooms, subtle linear designs introduce movement and texture while maintaining a calm, understated atmosphere.
Leonardo Hotel Dublin Parnell Street
At Parnell Street, carpet takes on a more expressive role. Ulster Carpets developed curved designs and circular rugs that help establish intimate seating areas within the larger public spaces.
Changes in colour, pattern and shape distinguish individual zones while maintaining a cohesive overall scheme.
In the guestrooms, smaller-scale patterns provide a quieter foundation, complementing the contemporary interiors designed by Consarc Design Group.
Design Through Collaboration
"Their designers have an excellent understanding of our briefs and continually push the creative boundaries to produce intricate, distinctive and bespoke carpet designs."
Penny Simpson, Associate Interior Designer, Cunningham McLean
Across both hotels, Ulster Carpets brought specialist carpet design expertise to Cunningham McLean's vision, translating creative ideas into considered patterns, colours and forms that contribute to the atmosphere and function of each space.
