The Job Specifics
Job Purpose:
To inspire, support, improve and underpin Ulster Carpets Business Strategy through the deployment and support of technologies and applications that will drive innovation and efficiencies to enable Ulster Carpets to excel in being a world class leader. To drive technology transformation by delivering innovative, collaborative, and cost-effective IT Solutions and services.
As IT Business Systems Development, you will work with Ulster Group Staff, IT Support and IT Development to improve the processes and systems in line with the Groups Secure Global and Network Technology Strategy. You will leverage current systems to improve efficiency and collaboration and recommend and ensure the successful implementation of and development of new Technologies.
Essential Criteria:
- Third level IT related qualification, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar support/technical role.
- Experience of Delivering and Supporting ERP Systems
- Working knowledge of business functions and processes within manufacturing.
- Office 365 Technologies.
Key Duties:
Provides technical and system support in the successful introduction and implementation of the Groups ERP system – Dynamics 365 :
- Coordination of User Acceptance Testing.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that business processes are effective and efficient.
- System Maintenance, including Cloud Server Management.
- User and System Security.
- Cleansing, uploading and ongoing monitoring of Data.
- Technical Integration of existing Business Systems.
- Provide training and support to staff on the use of Business Processes and Systems.
- Producing and maintaining help files and Supporting documentation.
- Involved with future rollouts of ERP and Business Systems within the Ulster Group.
Group Business Systems:
- Ensuring that Business systems are up to date and utilised to their full potential.
- Responsible for managing and improving the processes and systems that support Ulster Group.
- Ensure all Systems Data integrity and Security.
- Provide training and support to staff on the use of Business Processes and Systems.
- Keep Documentation up to date.
- To log support calls and document their outcome to facilitate the resolution of common queries.
- Manage all existing Microsoft 365 products, (including but not limited to; SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, Compliance, Cloud Servers)
- Work in conjunction with the IT Development/Support Teams to ensure a high standard of support is available to the company and that day-to-day operations are not interrupted.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
General Accountabilities:
- Provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the Group, including multiple global sites.
- Flexibility required for out-of-standard hours working.
- To establish and maintain effective working relationships with all Staff Globally in the Group.
- Appraise and present technologies.
- As required you may be expected to travel to other Ulster Carpet sites.
- To undertake such other work as may be assigned which is consistent with the nature of the job

- Provide flexibility in supporting other departments as and when required.
- Take part in company wide project teams.
