GTM are the marketing leading manufacturer of specialist weaving machinery and ancillary equipment. Part of the Ulster Group, we are expanding the loom build and carpet manufacturing divisions, setting up the largest Axminster carpet facility in GB, based in Washington, NE England.
As part of this expansion we are actively recruiting for a range of operational, specialist and technical roles to join our growing team and to help contribute and define the future of the business.
The Supply Chain Co-ordinator is an exciting new role and the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day direct co-ordination of all incoming and outgoing materials including raw materials, WIP, finished carpet, engineering components and finished machined components & machinery.
The role will typically be 50% operational; physically moving, unloading and loading material, and 50% office based, managing and processing stock and preparing required paperwork.
The role would suit someone in a similar role, or wishing to develop in a growing organisation with the following experience and skills:
- 2 years experience working in a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment, fast paced with variable workload and priorities
- Preparation of logistics paperwork including packing lists and commercial invoices
- Stock control and stock management
- Experience in a continuous improvement environment participating or leading in improvement projects
- Experience working to a planned and preventative maintenance schedule
- Use of Sage software or a similar ERP or stock control system.
- Must have Counterbalance FLT license and a good standard of numeracy and literacy, qualified to GCSE / NVQ2 standard as a minimum.
Desirable Experience
- Exposure / awareness of Incoterms 2022 and import and export documentation
- Experience implementing new systems or methods
- Reach truck license holder
