Plaids – an enduring favourite
A stalwart of British design, Plaids have been a favourite of designers and homeowners across the world for generations.
With a wealth of variations in colour and style, it is little wonder that the Plaid has remained in vogue in the worlds of both fashion and interiors for centuries. Conjuring up images of wild moorlands, rugged country castles, roaring fires and cosy pubs, there’s just something comforting about a Plaid.
The Plaids Collection from Ulster Carpets is a combination of the past and present. We have Plaids that have stood the test of time and remain as popular today as when they were launched over a decade ago. Building on that success, we have incorporated contemporary colours that keep bring Plaids to a new generation.
- Braeburn – This traditional Plaid design by Ulster is inspired by the rich rural landscapes of British coastlines, wild hedgerows, and vast moorlands.
- Beaumont – A stunning Axminster plaid of traditional elegance in a sophisticated palette of classic colours, we recently added the Quail and Hickory colourways to continue our modern take on this classic design.
- Glenmoy – A charming collection of traditional patterned carpets, Glenmoy’s woven Axminster colourways exude warmth and integrity. The addition of four new colourways – Stornoway, Lerwick, Iona and Skye – again add a modern twist to Glenmoy’s traditional charm.
- Boho Hamilton – An ode to all things retro, the Boho Collection includes the Hamilton range – a traditional Plaid design that combines a heritage colour palette with stunning pastel shades. All the plaid designs perfectly coordinate with the rest of the Boho collection which allows you to create an eclectic and unique space.
