Set within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the transformation of the former Commercial Court into the Mandarin Oriental Vienna blends historic grandeur with a contemporary design language.

Inspired by the captivating architecture found in Austria’s capital, our carpets at Mandarin Oriental Vienna complement the distinctive interiors created by Goodard Littlefair.

Our custom corridor carpet design embodies the ‘total work of art’ ideals of the Viennese Secession movement to cohesively bring together different elements of the interiors including the strong textures and eye-catching lighting.

In the Klimt meeting room space, the depth and texture of the design give the illusion of a carved effect. The geometric style in the Schiele meeting room offers a contrast that is still in keeping with the elegant refinement of Mandarin Oriental.

In addition to these designs, we’re also delighted with how perfectly balanced our carpet is with the marble flooring in the naturally lit public areas.

As well as building on our superb relationship with Goddard Littlefair on the carpet design, we also had the pleasure of again working with appointed General Contractor, Hagenauer, based in Bavaria, Germany, on a fantastic project that allows us to showcase the creativity of our craft.
