The Story

Boasting spectacular views over the City of Lights, the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile is the only skyscraper hotel in Paris.

This magnificent 4 star hotel has been totally transformed following 2 years of refurbishment work. Ulster Carpets were delighted to work with the renowned New York-based international design house George Wong Design to design and manufacture beautiful bespoke carpets for the hotel’s guestrooms, corridors, conferencing facilities and other public areas.

Inspired by Paris’s iconic surroundings and the lights that illuminate the metropolis, Ulster’s designs feature faded clusters of layered Paris street map drawings. If you look close enough you will find some recognisable landmarks such as the Arc de Triomphe, River Seine and The Champ de Mars.

Complementing the bright modern decor is a palette of mustard shades that blend with soft greys in a subtle ombré effect, to create the feeling of dusk and dawn in the city. A delicate mix of these colours wind through the beautiful hotel corridors, meeting bolder deeper colours that demand dramatic results for the hotel club lounge.
