Automation System Engineer

As an Automation System Engineer, you will be working as part of the Operations team with responsibility for investigating, troubleshooting & resolving electrical and automation failures on machinery incorporating PLC’s, motors, drives, electronic systems, and electrical control panels.

The successful candidate will have:

· Degree in a related field – Automation, Control System Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

· 5 years + experience of working in an engineering, or maintenance environment.

· Practical hands on working with equipment, machinery and/or tools

· Organisation, planning and prioritising skills.

· Ability to logically work through problems to find solutions

· Ability to travel to other site to assist with development

Key duties will include:

· Development of new controls systems to future proof current systems.

· Work as part of the multi-skilled technical department on a range of weaving and maintenance related projects.

· Apply a range of engineering skills, in particular, electrical design and testing, pneumatic systems, sensor application and software development for real-time systems.

· Electrical and mechanical fault finding and maintenance skills.
